Describe for me what (if anything) your character knows of the other four people slated to be on the team. I want to get a feel for group dynamics. Make sure to include your character’s name, please.

What does your commlink physically look like? There are many models, like the cell phones of today, and they come in all colors and shapes. Think about what your character would look for in a commlink housing and describe it for me. Further, what does your Icon look like? Your icon is your virtual presence in the Matrix, and can appear as anything you’d like. The default icon for most commlinks is a vaguely humanoid shape with the commlink manufacturer’s logo printed across the front. It’s acceptable to tell me that your logo is the default, but just like with commlink style and cost logo personalization is a social comment.

Many things drive a runner to commit crimes. Money and boredom are two of the primary motivators. You need to eat, and some folks just can’t live without the rush. What was it that led your character to the life of a runner in the first place? Who introduced them to the lifestyle? What was their very first run?

About five years ago was the big event detailed in ‘System Failure’: The destruction of the old Matrix by a virulent computer virus and tactical nuke strikes against some of the most powerful computing centers in the world. This event left much of the planet without widespread Matrix access for months, and some areas were without power for over six weeks. Unless you lived in the depths of the congo, this event effected you at least a little. What impact did this event have on your character?
